Career Opportunity – Electrical Engineer(Intermediate level)

Electrical & Mechanical Consulting Engineers Limited (EMCE Ltd.) is a Building Services Engineering Design firm (Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing) located in Barbados and operating throughout the Caribbean. The Company offers consultancy services specialising in medical facilities, luxury residences, luxury hotels, commercial offices, retail, educational facilities, alternative energy solutions and industrial projects.

JOB SUMMARY
EMCE Ltd. is seeking to employ an experienced and dynamic Intermediate Level Electrical Engineer for our Engineering Design Department.

The person appointed to this position will report directly to the Senior Electrical Engineer and collaborate with other members of our Team to strategically meet the goals and objectives of the Company.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Proven understanding of electrical engineering as it relates to the building services field (i.e. lighting, small power, fire alarm systems, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Structured Cabling)
Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
Estimating material and/or construction costs for budget preparation
Inspecting electrical components during and after product installation
Excellent time management and project management skills
Ability to prepare & present designs, design queries and solutions
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 2 to 4 years relevant experience
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MEP REVIT experience, calculation software
Knowledge of applicable codes related to electrical engineering.
Proficient in design and calculation software.
